I haven't written in a while so I decided it's time to catch up on some of the trips the Cs' have had over the past few months. I'll be starting with a very late post about a certain trip back in December. While we've already traveled to a handful of fantastic destinations around the country, we felt the December trip needed a special vibe to it. Thus, to celebrate Christmas/New Year/6th month(!), we decided to visit the wonderful island of Boracay. Just imagine. Boracay in 6. Wow. Here are some highlights.
Lazy and Cozy Stay
Our Boracay vacation continued our trend of selecting awesome accommodations for our trips. This time, it was the turn of
The Lazy Dog Bed & Breakfast to provide us with a solemn, quiet environment, a must for our travels. Let's start with some comfortable pillows and clean sheets...

Clancy approves. |
...a lovely wood-themed outdoor setting for dining and lingering...
|
Perfect for food coma. |
...delightful breakfast food for a warm start to the day...
|
C approves! |
...and a warm, furry, cuddly guardian!
|
Now I know where the place got its name. |
We definitely had a terrific time in this place and recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, peaceful stay in Boracay.
Food Coma Choices
Food coma has been an often-used term during our monthly jaunts and this one was no exception. We tried out several recommended food spots and a couple of can't-miss items on the island.
A serving of fajitas and the predictable calamares at MaƱana Mexican Cuisine to start off our island adventures...
|
No food pics here. Just the requisite selfie. Next! |
...a pair of hot calamansi juice at Lemon Cafe to combat the sudden rainfall...
|
One happy calamansi juice fan. |
...paella and tapas accompanied by cheesy guitar strums at Dos Mestizos...
|
Finally, some photos of food. |
...the famous thirst-quenching effect of Jonah's milkshakes...
|
Sugar, shakes, and the sun. |
...the perfect combination of lechon kawali, kilawing tanigue, and chorizo fried rice at Tito's...
|
Plus iced tea, buko juice and good acoustic music! |
...and finally, the very powerful Pat Power from Pat's Creek Bar. Knockout!
|
Instant favorite. Classic. |
The Sand and the Sea
No trip to Boracay would be complete without experiencing its pristine waters and fine sand. And while we did enjoy strolling around the shore and snoozing under a palm tree, we also discovered one fantastic spot opposite the main white beach.
|
Hot kitesurfer dudes. Somewhere, C is spazzing. |
This is known as Bulabog Beach, a haven for kite surfing and just a few meters away from Lazy Dog. While the shoreline doesn't stand up to the main white stretch, the place offers a tranquil environment, perfect for those who want to escape the always crowded stations of Boracay. Just like these two.

Gors. And loving it. |
